This is a bit embarrassing, as in. My username is horrible and embarrassing and I want to change it so much but I can't be bothered getting a paid account... also I'm broke. But anyway. 

When I was in year 8 I thought it'd be really cool to be a hippy. I loved the clothes and I loved the whole: save the world, stand up for women, the 

environment... etc. So I created hippychick as my username and, because I'm so awesome, added 21 to the end. 
(NOTE: 21's my favourite number because it's half of 42 (the meaning of life, the universe and everything) and it's my birth date... which is cool)

Anyway, that's how the universe's worst username was thought up. I'm gradually getting rid of it and LJ's the only place I still have it. I have since had two favourite usernames you may see in other places. The first being LolaInAPearTree, because it's cool and random and odd and it makes me feel awesome. The second is AFacadeTwirlNor which is an anagram of my relatively un-anagramable name. I love it dearly because facade is like, the coolest word ever. Twirl and Nor are pretty cool too. 

Anyhow, that's it for now I guess! PS I discovered Tumblr and I want to have its babies. 

 So, It's been a while. Like, months. Life was too busy to post, then there was nothing interesting to say. But I hope you had a safe and relaxing new year! I know I did XD

I'm making a picspam because I want to, and also because I've decided to completely move away from "real men" so to speak and I've decided I'll only have eyes for famous people...

 So for those of you who live in Australia, you may know that the Dark Knight had it's network premier tonight and no, I didn't watch it. I decided to watch the Illusionist which I taped from the night before (great cast with surprisingly bad acting, ok score, nice writing, want to stab Jessica Biel, want to marry Edward Norton, want to own the awesome locket, love the cinematography... the usual)

Then I decided: No channel nine, I will not give you ratings you don't deserve, instead I'll watch Batman Begins for the first time in three to four years. 

I LOVED IT! Yes, the Dark Knight is slightly better (I really hate Maggie Gyllenhaal)... but really like vaguely hopeful endings which this one had (and yes, there was that painful setup for the Joker being in the next one).

Speaking of which... I think the reason everyone watched the Dark Knight and those who saw them both liked it more is because of Heath Ledger and his awesomeness...  but...  those Cillian Murphy scenes were mighty creepy... until his last scene when he was riding around on the horse... I was like: WTF mate? But all of those "let me show you my mask scenes" had me freaking out. I still think he has wayy too much estrogen in his system to be considered attractive but hey... I'm getting converted to liking those outrageously high cheekbones.

I do prefer the Scarecrow as a villain to the Joker (ducks flying knives) because he has more depth, he actually has a goal! But think that may be why everyone loves the Joker so much... he's just totally insane, however I personally prefer my villains a little less black and white (feel free to argue that the Joker isn't black and white... but I really do think he is!)

THAT SAID: I am not dissing Heath Ledger's awesomeness in any way (dude, I'm Australian, and I think that if I ever met another Australian who at the very least didn't respect his brilliance I would slap them (just sayin'). 

Well, I kinda just had an argument with myself... but TO SUMMARISE: if you haven't seen Batman Begins then please do and if you haven't seen the Dark Knight (what's wrong with you) then go and see the first one first. I don't care if you don't like Batman, I grew up with the Adam West film and later the Tim Burton franchise ones (and I will insult aussie Nicole Kidman there) but don't judge, they're more thrillers then action film anyway. 

Other films I saw recently: Red Eye (so so), Fur (may make a separate post on this - RDJ awesomeness but pretentious storyline) and Maurice (yay for sappy gay period love stories and hot actors who will age badly - it's more then just that, I'd recommend it highly to anyone... except my grandparents) 

I rediscovered Smallville,  the show of my youth.

Yes that's right. I matured watching Clark Kent transform from a nerd to the coolest kid ever to Superman, all with one of the world's most attractive young casts. 

( I mean look at Tom and Kristen, they ooze so much sex appeal I may just faint.  )

 In short. I love Eli Roth. He's amazing as an actor... he just needs to stop it with the 'torture porn'

 A series of Unfortunate Events. 

As a regular reader of my livejournal would know, I like to discuss 24 quite a lot. And I'm well aware that no-one cares but (as I was told by some awesome author, when you stop writing for yourself and startb writing for others... you get shit) this show is pretty much what I live for at the moment. And you may remember that a while ago I put up this post. 

Well mofo's... Tony fucking Almeida is back. And he's back with a ... besides the fact that he now looks like a douche and he and Jack had some massive punch up and he hasn't said his trademark "yeah" yeah (but oh god did he give that: what-you're-saying's-total-crap look) but I've never been more excited to watch 24, even in Season 5 when Aaron was about to get killed and Martha Logan showed the world she was more the some woman who "look(s) like a wedding cake.

Anywho, my shag man is back and I've never been more lust filled for a forty-something year old.

ALSO if there's anyone reading this who goes to my school (/even if you don't) can you PLEASE tell me because palelimegreen must be getting sick of me rambling on about this.
